1. Why do we breed Collies?
We LOVE Collies. Their temperament fits with our lifestyle and family so well. We love that they have such wonderful personalities. We breed them for the best Temperaments, Structure, and working to improve the health and longevity of the Collie. We always consider temperament, health, structure, and abilities.
Our lives revolve around our Collies. Yes we live with them in their home, and they are loved, cared for, and happy. We are happy too!

2. What do we test for? (Health Page)

All our breeding dogs are tested or we know by parentage testing what their results, and we can provide you this information upon request. Our goal is to always make improvement. So if a Collie carries an anomaly like CEA for example, we breed to a Non-carrier. This applies to all anomalies. We work to improve health, and keep the wonderful expression and structure of our Collies.
3. Do we have a waiting list?
We do. Depending on what you're looking for, our waiting list can take from 6 months to 2 years to get your preferences.
We look forward to each of our litters arriving and the varieties in color, pattern, and personalities. Temperament is solid in every puppy and they have that wonderful collie demeanor.

4. Do you have a contract for your puppies?
We do! Here is a copy of our contract which you will initial and sign when completing our application.
Wind Whispers Contract Agreement
'GOOD FAITH' PAYMENT: A Payment of $100.00 (once approved) showing Good Faith is to be made after signing this contract. This puts Buyer on Wind Whispers Farm, LLC Preferred Waiting List. If Buyer cancels their reservation this payment is Non-Refundable. Otherwise, These monies go towards the total purchase price of your puppy/dog. If after 1 year Wind Whispers Farm, LLC does not produce your puppy, you may request a refund of these monies. All purchase balances must be paid in full before the puppy leaves Wind Whispers Farm, LLC. (No checks accepted on pickup date)
1) The Buyer agrees to provide a lifelong commitment, comfortable environment, prompt medical attention, proper grooming and responsible care. This includes keeping this puppy/dog parasite free and up to date with vaccinations, proper nutrition, which consists of a good quality feed given at regular intervals, and fresh water available at all times. The Buyer promises to provide a safe environment for the dog, and never allow the dog to roam freely without proper fencing or supervision. The Breeder recommends that the puppy/dog be microchipped or tattooed in order to facilitate his return if lost or stolen. Training classes are recommended for a happy relationship between the collie and family.
2) The Breeder guarantees this puppy vet checked and sound health and temperament at the time of this sale. Should puppy/dog be determined to be in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the Breeder, the dog may, upon signed written diagnosis from agreed upon veterinarian, be returned for replacement puppy at discretion of the breeder. Coccidiosis is treated for as a preventative measure, and not covered in any warranty as it can be caused by stress of travel and more. Guardia is also treated for as a preventative in our strict 2,4,6,8 week preventative schedule. The Breeder will assume NO responsibility if this puppy/dog is given Ivermectin, Imodium or any of the MDR1 collie-sensitive drugs and suffers an adverse reaction. Wind Whispers Farm, LLC gives a 1 year guarantee free of genetic diseases parents are tested for on the puppy. Both Parents have both been DNA tested as part of our due diligence as a breeder." There are no other guarantees. Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by their veterinarian within 72 hours of possession of the puppy, and to inform the seller immediately of any health problems that may be detected. This time period is to validate health guarantee. (see more details below)
3) The Breeder is selling this puppy with Limited Registration, (unless otherwise agreed upon between breeder and buyer and in writing) and All Limited rights under any of our registries/or non-registered. It is recommended the dog be spayed or neutered at recommended appropriate age of 18 months to 2 yrs. Buyer agrees to Spay/Neuter their dog. The Buyer will be responsible for all costs incurred for this. IF breeding rights have been agreed upon and granted by breeder in writing to buyer, (buyer agree to sell only pets/companion puppies sired or given birth by this collie, and NO offspring from this collie will be offered for sale, given, or traded to anyone with full registration/ show/ breeding rights. This is to protect our puppies and lineage.
3b) If you breed this collie without rights to do so you must contact us and pay the difference for breeding rights on this collie. Total purchase price of $2000. Responsible breeding only to continue the health of the collie breed. If sold for breeding and within 7 years she or he does produce (need to have Vet proof and speak with Vet) it is considered a pet we will sell another one at pet price with full rights.
SELLER WARRANTY TO BUYER *We guarantee collie to be normal eyed (Clear or Carrier). This puppy will be Normal Eyed (Clear or Carrier) for CEA, Clear for PRA, CN, HUU, VWDII. and DM, MDR1 will be n/n or n/m. Most parents are 2-3 generations back and DNA tested parents are free from CEA & PRA for the eye, are clear on CN, HUU, VWDII, & DM which means they will never suffer from these anomalies". *This warranty also guarantees for a period of One year from date of birth, we provide a collie in good condition and is free of any defects considered to be life threatening or unsuitable for pet. Should the buyer decide to return the dog due to health reasons, the seller has the right to have an independent veterinarian provide a second opinion on the diagnosis. Puppy is sold to you "as is". At no time is the seller responsible for any veterinary bills after the dog is purchased. If a puppy has a proven defect upon initial veterinary examination within 72 hours of purchase, a replacement puppy will be provided in exchange for the puppy with a defect. In the event of death, an autopsy must be performed at the owner's expense to determine the exact cause of death. Transportation of the puppy for delivery or return, is the responsibility and expense of the buyer. This guarantee does not include treatable conditions, accidents, injuries, illnesses, shots, medication reactions, vet visits, or over vaccinations. We recommend spray/neuter over the age of 18 Months so the growth plates are closed. No amount of ivermectin is considered a 'safe amount' for a herding breed dog.
4) If at any time the Buyer can no longer retain possession of this dog, the Breeder is to be notified and given first option of resuming full ownership of the dog in order for the Breeder to locate this dog a new home. As the breeder, our dogs are welcome back at any time, no questions asked. Refunds will be at the discretion of the Breeder, and will not be accounted for until the dog is evaluated and placed with a new qualified family. The dog must be returned with all Registration papers/paperwork and medical records and expense of return shall be covered by Buyer.
Should any circumstances arise that affect the quality of life of this dog, the breeder/seller is to be informed so that they may participate in determining the future of the dog. The Breeder reserves the right to approve/prohibit any transfer of this animal to a third party. Under no circumstances will this dog be sold as a pet or breeding dog, leased as a pet or breeding dog, traded or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter, rescue, or similar facility.
4b) If you ever are unable to keep or care for your collie, do you understand that they must be returned to Wind Whispers Farm for placement to another approved home at your expense as the buyer? We never want to see one of our dogs in a rescue or shelter. We will accept them back with no questions asked at any time.
5) The Buyer agrees to contact the Breeder immediately if any questions or concerns arise about the dog, such as housing, diet, health or training. The buyer agrees to keep the seller informed of any treatment as it occurs. This provides the Breeder with an opportunity to follow up on puppies and gives us important feedback and information on the health or our dogs for future generations.
6) Registration (if applicable) Transfer paperwork will be provided to the buyer upon completion of sale. It is understood at the time of sale that this puppy is being sold as a Companion dog (unless otherwise agreed upon between breeder and buyer) and it is an outstanding representative of its breed. It is structurally and temperamentally suited as a Collie should be. From our experience, Training classes are strongly recommended for a happy relationship between the dog and the new owner.
7) IF THIS DOG SHOULD EVER BE FOUND IN A FIGHTING RING, WE WILL PRESS CHARGES Owner agrees that this dog will Never be used in violation of any local, state, or federal laws, or in any manner, which would be detrimental to the health, safety, or well being of the dog or public. The new owner is responsible for all financial and legal issues from the time of this contract. We do not in any way warrant or guarantee the actions or behavior of the dog once it leaves, unless noted. Call us and will try to help Arrangements will be made to return the dog **NOTE** If, at any time we find the conditions that the dog is living in dangerous, inhumane, or lacking in providing basics or necessary medical attention, we have the right to remove and repossess ownership of the dog. The owner must then transfer over all AKC, and pertaining paperwork relating to the dog. NO refunds shall be given.
8)The preceding paragraphs contain conditions established to ensure the wellbeing of the dog, but also to uphold and maintain the reputation of quality that Wind Whispers Farm, LLC have established. The Buyer’s agreements will continue for the dog’s life and the Breeder will have the right to enforce the agreements.
I understand by signing, this puts my application for review and is not a guaranteed approval. I will receive confirmation that my application has been approved or denied. If approved my good faith monies will be requested, and we will be added to the waiting list. IF YOU CANCEL at any time, you will not be refunded your good faith monies. Thank you!
ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE AGREEMENT: By signing this Electronic Signature Acknowledgment Form, I agree that my electronic signature is the legally binding equivalent to my handwritten signature. Whenever I execute an electronic signature, it has the same validity and meaning as my handwritten signature. LIMITATIONS OF ACTION Any action or claim brought by Buyer against Seller for breach of this Contract must be brought within one (l) year of the date such claim occurred. Upon signing this agreement and the exchange of the ownership of this dog, the buyer shall become solely responsible for all I will not, at any time in the future, repudiate the meaning of my electronic signature or claim that my electronic signature is not legally binding. By signing below, I accept the conditions of this agreement.

5. Is there a health guarantee?
We provide a 1 year Genetic Health Guarantee on all the things we test for in our Collie dogs. No other guarantee is given.
6. Our return policy
Our policy states that if for any reason you are ever unable to keep your collie, we will welcome them back, no questions asked. No refunds will be given. No judgement will be cast.

8. How much are your Collies?
Our Collies range in price from $1100 to $1600 for *Companion, Show, Service and Therapy Animal prospects, Emotional Support Animals, and more. Breeding rights are not included with our Collies. With the rising cost of testing, and basic expenses on the rise, we strive to keep our puppy prices at a reasonable rate.
Transportation is not included in the sale of our Collies.

How will I get my collie home?
There are several ways we can safely get your collie home. Keep in mind that transport may cost about the same price as your puppy if they're traveling a good distance. Pacific NW travelers will have the best rates from local short distance drivers that we can recommend.
- Pick up your Collie by driving, or arrange to meet us if we are traveling in your direction.
- Flight Nanny who flies into Great Falls and hand delivers your puppy to an Airport near you.
- Fly into Great Falls, MT and pick your puppy up. We can meet you at airport for this.
- Pet Cargo Flight - This option is not available at this time from Great Falls, Montana.
- Ground Transportation - We have a few companies we work with for this, and they are excellent.
- Discuss other options. We have learned to be very creative. Talk to us.
9. Do you offer a payment plan?

10. What forms of payment do you accept?
PERSONAL CHECK (must be cleared before puppy leaves), Money Order, APPS: *Paypal, Cash, Venmo, Facebook. We can invoice from Paypal and you do not need an account to pay this. Any credit/debit card will work. Also, we do not do E-checks as there is about an 8-10 day waiting period for this to clear. *Note: With any of the online apps, we charge 3% convenience fee.
11. Do you offer Puppies with training?
We do not at this time offer Puppy training.
