Dreams Coming true
It's finally happening! We are starting from scratch and putting our farm together. The above photo is the building we're looking at for our home, and I've drawn up plans for finishing it over time. We are looking for a RV to begin with while we build. The property is located off-grid and since that has been our dream from long ago, we are doing our footwork to make all come together. Any suggestions and life experience is welcome. haha
This is going to be the biggest thing we have ever done and we are so excited!
We are going to keep the house in town. and Brittany will continue to work in town and live there. We will still have a room to stay in when we're here. :) Makes the long trips to town just a little better.
Below are a few photos on our drive to our new home.
We will blog along our journey and share with you all. Our road has taken many turns getting here and I'm sure we will have some funny stories to share along the way to getting this set up. hehe
Thank you for following us and our Collies, and we hope you join in our next chapter,
Marc, Suzi, and family at Wind Whispers Farm!
Collies Collies Collies... and many more! haha

Hey lady! New starts are the best and the scariest! I know you will enjoy your journey. It's been a long road for you with a lot of laughter and heartbreak, but following your dream often is. Off grid is a bit scary because you have to be so self reliant, for water, electricity, for heat and medical but it can also make you stronger. I know you'll come along just fine. Do your due diligence, vet the people carefully who will work for you, get your connections lined out for whatever you won't be able to do yourself. Make sure that living away from town won't be a problem for the vet or tradesman who have to travel to you for repairs, especially emergencies. When my pellet stove went down in the little community I lived in no one would come out to fix it because I was seventeen miles out of town. I know your hubby is handy but it doesn't hurt to have back up! I will be thinking of you and following your progress. Muffet says hi! God bless and take good care on your journey!

Wind whispers family farm
Farm life is being self sufficient, and living our dream. It's learning something new every day. Also, it's family, and family isn't always blood. It's like minds uniting and making up a strong community of people willing to work together and "BE" a family. Thank you for sharing our joys, struggles, work, recipes, and way of life.
